Description: The Masah is a rectangular panel-loading daypack, perfect for short day-and-a-half backpacking trips, long day hikes, skiing and the like. The voluminous side pockets are mounted on wide ski slots; both have vertical storm-flapped zippers with dual heads for durability. The rear pocket sports a main compartment and a flat zippered map sleeve. The pocket floats on four compression straps, allowing bulky items to be secured between the pocket and the main pack (this pocket can also be removed). Dual ice ax loops, a top grab handle with accessory loops, and built-in cargo straps with side squeeze buckles offer the versatility to carry miscellaneous items. As with all mid-sized Jandd packs, the Masah has a double bottom sheathed in 1050-denier ballistics cloth for durability.
A new feature of the Masah is the HDPE frame sheet, which increases the load-carrying capacity of the pack; the frame sheet and aluminum stay are cushioned with 1" reticulated mesh-covered foam for firm, breathable support. The "S" curved shoulder straps have a sliding sternum strap and interface at hip wings with our new Cambrelle™ lined belt. Finally, a load stabilizer strap connects the waist belt to the main pack and can be tightened down for more load control when the trail becomes challenging. Whether you're skiing the backcountry or hiking the front country, the Masah is an excellent all-around pack.
