Barad Internal Frame Pack

Description: The Barad shares many features with the Sufa, but has the distinction of being in the 5000+ ci range that makes it optimal for anything from a weekend outing to a ten-day adventure.
Like the Sufa, the Barad features the Maximum Support Applied Geometry suspension system to carry any load with comfort and stability.
The two-pocket hood telescopes on an 11.5" storm sleeve and features four sets of exterior lash points. There is an internal headspace compression system, and three sets of horizontal compression straps that will accept Backpack Pockets (increasing the volume by 300ci each). A shovel pocket and crampon patch, dual ice ax loops, and two water bottle holsters with built-in wand pockets are all features shared with the Sufa Lite. The Barad, in addition to its larger volume, also has a lower sleeping bag compartment with storm-flapped zipper to allow easier access to items in the bottom of the pack. Inside, a sling divider between the upper and lower sections of the bag helps to keep gear separate and organized. It can also be detached to allow the items in the upper compartment to aid in the compression of the sleeping bag. On the outside of the sleeping bag compartment are built-in compression/accessory straps to help reduce stress across the zipper and for stowing light items, such as a sleeping pad.
