Description: The Andrew and Iniki Messenger Bags were created to meet the specific needs of professional bike messengers. However, they are also excellent for anyone who needs a large, no-nonsense shoulder bag that will take serious abuse and withstand the nastiest of weather conditions. These bags are the first products developed in the Jandd Hurricane series, which emphasizes superior water-resistance and exceptional durability.
The Andrew and Iniki are based on a traditional messenger bag design: simple, spacious (yet lightweight), and ultra-durable. The difference between the Andrew and Iniki is size. The bags are constructed of 1000-denier Cordura, laminated to a vinyl backing, and sewn to an additional layer of Supertex™ vinyl (the material from which whitewater rafts are made). For carrying comfort, each bag features a large shoulder strap and comes standard with the new maximum shoulder pad
to make heavy loads more bearable. For stability the pack comes with a cross-chest strap that has a quick release buckle for ease of use. Inside the main compartment are five pockets: three large, and two smaller pen/pencil sleeves. The outer face of the main compartment has a slash pocket piggybacked by a zippered pocket; both are flanked by large patches of hook material that mate with loop patches on the storm flap. In addition to the hook-and-loop closure, there are two 10" vertical compression straps to lock gear in and the elements out. For night visibility, the Andrew and Iniki now come standard with 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material sewn horizontally across the storm flap; a light can also be attached to the horizontal reflective strip. The Andrew and Iniki messenger bags accept horizontal CAP inserts.
