Description: The Commuter Briefcase Pannier is designed to be your office-on-the-go, essentially an oversized briefcase combined with a hideaway pannier suspension system. The large main compartment has a flap across one side to help organize your files. You can also carry your laptop in the optional horizontal CAP which fits in the main compartment. A second roomy pocket offers a myriad of organizational possibilities: a flat zippered pocket, a mesh pocket with hook and loop closure, two pen/pencil sleeves, and two larger sleeves that can accommodate cell phone, glasses, business cards, etc. For last-minute items there is yet another zippered flat pocket on the outside of the organizer compartment.
Also, the Commuter Briefcase comes with a 1.5" shoulder strap. Across one side you will find the easy on, easy-off bungee suspension system which can be quickly hidden away by a Cordura cover. When you are ready to ride, simply un-zip the flap and stow it above. Or pull the rain cover on which folds around the bag and protects your office files and other treasures. The bright yellow rain cover is highly visible and is completely waterproof with taped seams. It also has 3M 8910 Reflective Material sewn around the bag for 180-degree visibility.

FIELD NOTES: When attempting to fit a Commuter Briefcase Pannier on an extra tall rack, you have three options: 1) dump it and buy a Jandd rack; 2) add an extra "S" hook or two to the one supplied ("S" hooks can be found at any hardware store); or 3) contact the Jandd Factory for a longer replacement bungee (we will need your rack's attachment length).Some riders have found that they do not need the rain cover, the newer covers are no longer attached and can be stowed in the pocket.
