Description: The Dubie Travel Pack is one of the largest travel packs on the market. Thanks to its Maximum Support Applied Geometry suspension system, it carries like a dream no matter how many souvenirs are tucked inside. While the Dubie is first and foremost a full-suspension backpack, it masquerades as a respectable piece of luggage when you zip away its suspension unit behind the hideaway Cordura flap. The Dubie has two main compartments, the larger of the two featuring lockable dual zippers and an absolutely indispensable internal/external compression system. A second large compartment also boasts an internal compression system that can be used for corralling extra clothing if you are not carrying a sleeping bag. As with the Barak and Esh, the (third) rear compartment of the Dubie (with two flat, zippered side pockets) zips off via its retractable comfort zipper to become a handy daypack. In addition to the dual bottom lash points and top grab handle, there are also two sets of lash points on either side of the pack, which allow you to strap on as much additional gear as you can carry. For long, thin objects (such as fishing poles) there are wand pockets with drain holes on each side of the pack.
As with all of Jandd's luggage pieces, the Dubie can be carried by its Deluxe Shoulder Strap or by its leather handle when in the luggage mode. The aforementioned maximum support system comes in regular and small versions to ensure a perfect fit.

FIELD NOTES: Use zip ties or plastic locks (anything that can be easily cut) to secure zippers while traveling. That way, in the unfortunate event that a thief wants into your bag, he can get in via the zippers and leave you with half a chance of at least retrieving your bag intact. Also, always keep any valuables you may have in the removable daypack to carry with you at all times.
